i wrote this at a turning point in my life - it was the first time i was living on my own. it was a time of change for me, going through a divorce, discovering myself and finding my voice for the first time. I was letting go of other's expectations of me and whether or not they approved, i was going this way, whether they went with or not. i was starting to go to concerts, something i had done once or twice before, but now i was on my own and had just discovered keith urban. i had just had a birthday and was deciding what i wanted in life and where i wanted to be.
