Take The Chance (The Leap)

take the chance (the leap)

take a chance on more than coffee
more than textin' me at midnight
when you really wanna call me

take the chance - take the leap
to live the life that you want
to live the life you dream

take the chance
really get to know me
take a chance
probably, maybe, basically
take the chance, to call me your baby

the me that you already see
you want to know more, then
let's cross the line this time
into more than just friends

get to know me
at the grocery store
me as mom of two boys
me that cheers, making noise
me that fights for what is ours
me still standing when it's hard
me that is ticklelish at night
me, the girl in your arms

now i'm gonna
take the chance - take the leap
to live the life that i want
to reach for the life i dream

i wanna get to know you
at your grandma's
you on the dance floor
you under the hood of your truck
you playin' in the kids' dirt
you praying with your hands up
you that likes to tickle me at night
you, always, holdin' me tight

take the chance
really get to know me
take a chance
probably, maybe, basically
take the chance, to call me your baby

baby let's quit takin' our time
actin' like we don't already know
(take the chance)
kick the dust up, lets go
(take the chance)
just wanna know what us is like...

us on the couch, relaxin', kickin' up our feet
us finally knowing, no doubts
us makin' plans, traveling, turning grey
us havin' bets, but we never cash out
us bein' each other's best friend
us, yes us, tickling and laughin
us until the end

the me that you already see
you want to know more, then
let's cross the line this time
into more than just friends

take the chance
really get to know me
take a chance
probably, maybe, basically
take the chance, to call me your baby
